The UK directors chose to film a choir singing the Argentinian Anthem because of the historical significance of the Falkland's War and the intense rivalry between the national football teams. Sinema sanatının toplumlar üzerindeki gücünü kullanarak, insanlarda hoşgörü ve kendini ötekinin yerine koyma duygularını güçlendirmeyi amaçlayan Pangea Günü için çekilen reklam filmlerinden birinde Japonlar, kendi geleneksel enstrümanları ile İstiklal Marşı'nı çaldı. Bir başka filmde de Türk bayrağına sarılı bir şehit cenazesi, gözüyaşlı şehit yakınları ekranlara yansıdı. Konrol Adası adlı ödüllü belgeselin yönetmeni Jehane Noujaim tarafından başlatılan ve J.J. Abrams (Lost), Lawrence Bender (Kill Bill), Alan Cumming (X-Men), Alexander Payne (Sideways), Kevin Wall (Live Earth & Live 8 konseri), Cameron Diaz, Meg Ryan ve 'Will.i.am' tarafından destekleniyor. Sinemanın gücünü kullanarak insanların hoşgörü ve merhamet duygularını güçlendirmenin yanısıra milyonlarca insanı bir araya getirerek daha iyi bir gelecek yaratmayı hedefleyen Pangea Günü, insanlığın sınır, karmaşa, farklılıklarla bölündüğü bir dünyada ortak yönlere sahip olmanın farkına varmasını sağlamayı temel alıyor.
