The Melvins - Boris Song: Boris Artist: The Melvins Album: Bullhead (c) 1991 Melvins/Boner The legend of the Melvins stretches over two decades and traces back to the beginnings of grunge and influencing many bands of the genre (although they were far from grunge in many ways). The Melvins run the gamut on genres playing anything from hardcore punk to adding ambient noise. With a revolving door of bassists, the band at its core is King Buzzo (Buzz Osbourne) and Dale Crover. This amazing track from the Bullhead album gave some headway into drone doom and even gave the Japanese genre-bending band Boris their name.
